Meet the Kappa team

Mr. Turner has over 28 years of experience in San Diego performing boundary, topographic, construction staking, ALTA, and various other types of land surveys in San Diego, California.  He has extensive experience in processing and recording boundary related maps with various San Diego County municipalities.  Over 25 years of experience in researching and analyzing real property records, together with the results of field surveys to establish and re-establish property lines. Mr. Turner has conducted or overseen approximately 2,600 surveys over the past 28 years throughout San Diego County.

Mr. Turner has been a licensed land surveyor in the state of California since 2002.  He is a member of the California Land Surveyors Association and the La Mesa Chamber of Commerce.

Bill has been working for KAPPA since 2015. Bill serves as the Director of Engineer and oversees all of KAPPA’s engineering projects. Bill began working in the engineering field in the ‘70s and has been a licensed civil engineer for over 36 years. In under a year of being licensed as an engineer, Bill also became licensed as a land surveyor. Bill utilizes his knowledge as both a civil engineer and a land surveyor to develop efficient solutions for his clients engineering problems. Through his years of experience, Bill has worked on a wide range of projects, from developing solutions for single residence home owners, to site development for a 90 acre east county school site.  Bill is an active member in the local community and often volunteers his time in a La Mesa food bank as well as performing Haiti mission trips.  

Kyle has been working for KAPPA since 2014. Kyle has his Engineer in Training Certificate and is his Land Surveyor in Training Certificate. Kyle’s official title is Director of Surveys, he is a versatile employee. Kyle is able perform all surveying tasks such as field crew preparation to performing the field surveys his self. When a client has an emergency need for a survey, Kyle is able to step up and preform the field survey so our client does not fall behind schedule. Kyle using his surveying knowledge to assist him in visualizing unique and cost-effective strategies for engineering design implementation. Kyle is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers, San Diego Chapter. And is really pretty.

Jerry has been working for KAPPA since 2014. As an associate engineer, Jerry is responsible for project assessment and design. He has a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering and an Associate of Science in Computer Aided Drafting. Jerry is able to process the projects he is assigned to from start to finish. He performs initial site visits to assess the current condition of the project and visualize possible solutions. He is then able to use his skills to efficiently draft his design solutions into AutoCAD and quickly get his projects ready for submittal.
